Leisure Connection re-launched the first new-look Harpers fitness gym - at its flagship site - the Riverside Swimming Centre in Norwich on the 14th August. This forms part of a new nationwide initiative to re-brand all Harpers gyms to offer customers the same high quality environment to exercise wherever they are in the UK.
The newly refurbished swimming centre features £250,000 worth of Technogym, Human sport and Star Trac equipment and features the latest in gym design and layout to give its local customers the perfect environment to be more active.
Riverside Swimming Centre, which is owned by Norwich City Council and managed by Leisure Connection, has been designed to a high specification and features 100 new pieces of equipment as well as state of the art machines and incorporates group activity classes including Human Sport Cables and a dedicated spinning area featuring the latest Startrac NXT bikes as well as housing an area specifically designed for personal training.
There has also been considerable ongoing investment into improving the communal areas throughout the leisure centre and updating the existing colour scheme as well as replacing the carpets throughout the Harpers gym.
Currently Harpers at the Riverside Swimming Centre has 2,500 members and it's hoped that this new look flagship facility will encourage more people in the local community to visit this centre and enjoy the benefits of regular exercise.
Kevin Yates, Harpers Brand Manager said: "We are thrilled with the
look and feel of the centre. This is the first Harpers re-brand we
have undertaken as we strive to offer private quality facilities in
a public access environment. There isn't another health club
in Norwich, which offers these facilities and we are aiming to lead
the way in local leisure and fitness provision, not only in
Norwich, but across the UK. Leisure Connection is committed to the
ongoing roll out of the new Harpers re-fresh and we currently have
10 other refurbishments in the pipeline."
